Overview
The
"Village" is one of Minaki's oldest "new camps" owned and operated by a
local pioneer family and currently run by Mike Pinheiro and his wife
Marcy.
The name, inspired by the North Star,
visible across the river from the camp on a clear summer's evening,
along with the village concept, identifies North Star Village as a camp
that offers its guests a comprehensive line of retail services on-site
including:
- Marine Gas,
- Bait & Tackle,
- Ice,
- Snacks
- Other normal camp requirements.
All
Cabins include 16 Channel cable TV/VCR, all linens, soaps, detergents,
coffee makers, toasters, etc, as well as freezers and micro-wave ovens.
Every effort is made to ensure that your cabin is fully equipped.
However, any requests for special needs are welcomed in order that your
visit will be as comfortable as possible.
While we do include towels, a few of our guests bring along an extra
large bath towel and sometimes a favourite pillow.
